Ephesians 4:1–6

KJV

“I therefore… beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called… endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

NKJV

“I… beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called… endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Part II – The Call To Walk

Walk

  • Aramaic: Halak (ha-lak)
  • Greek: Peripateō
  • Hebrew: Halakh (הָלַךְ)

Hebrew Meaning:

To walk, live, conduct one’s life.

Aramaic Meaning:

To move, live, and function in alignment with divine life.

Revelation:

Your walk is not behavior modification—It is living out your divine identity.

Worthy

  • Aramaic: Shava
  • Greek: Axios
  • Hebrew: Ra’ui (רָאוּי)

Meaning:

Suitable, aligned, equal in weight.

Revelation:

To walk “worthy” means to live consistent with who you already are in God.

Calling

  • Aramaic: Qeryana
  • Greek: Klēsis
  • Hebrew: Qara (קָרָא)

Meaning:

To call, summon, appoint.

Revelation:

Calling is not a future assignment—It is your present identity in God.

Part III – Unity Of The Spirit (Verses 3–6)

Unity

  • Aramaic: Ahdutha
  • Greek: Henotēs
  • Hebrew: Echad (אֶחָד)

To walk, live, conduct one’s life.

Spirit

  • Aramaic: Rukha
  • Greek: Pneuma
  • Hebrew: ( רוּ ַח Ruach)

Peace

  • Aramaic: Shlama
  • Greek: Eirēnē
  • Hebrew: ( ָשׁלוֹם Shalom)

Revelation:

Unity is not organizational— It is spiritual oneness already established in God.

Part IV – Verses 7–12: The Giving Of Grace And Gifts

Grace

  • Aramaic: Taybutha
  • Greek: Charis
  • Hebrew: ( ֵחן Chen)– old

Divine enabling not earned favor.

Gift

  • Aramaic: Mawhebtha
  • Greek: Dōrea
  • Hebrew: ( ַמ ָתּ ָנה Mattanah)

A gift freely given.

Revelation:

Gifts are not achievements— They are expressions of God through individuals.

Ascended / Descended

  • Aramaic: Selaq / Neheth
  • Greek: Anabainō / Katabainō
  • Hebrew: ( ָﬠָלה Alah) / ( ָיַרד Yarad))

To go up / come down.

Revelation:

This reflects movement between dimensions of awareness, not merely location.

Five-fold Ministry (Ephesians 4:11)

Hebrew Insight (Representative Concepts):

  • ( ָשׁ ִלי ַח Shaliach) – sent one (apostle)
  • ( ָנ ִביא Navi) – prophet

  • ( ֹר ֶﬠה Ro’eh) – shepherd
  • ( ָל ַמד Lamad) – teacher

To go up / come down.

Revelation:

These are not titles— They are functions through which God builds His people.

Part V – Verses 13–16: Spiritual Maturity

Perfect / Mature

  • Aramaic: Gmira
  • Greek: Teleios
  • Hebrew: ( ָתּ ִמים Tamim)

Complete, whole, fully developed.

Knowledge

  • Aramaic: Yada
  • Greek: Teleios
  • Hebrew: ( ָי ַדע Yada)

Experiential knowing.

Head (Christ)

  • Aramaic: Risha
  • Greek: Kephalē
  • Hebrew: ( רֹאשׁ Rosh)

Source, origin, governing life.

Revelation:

Maturity is not information— It is spiritual oneness already established in God.

Part VI– Verses 17–24: Putting Off The Old Man

Old Man

  • Aramaic: Enasha Atiqa
  • Greek: Palaios Anthrōpos
  • Hebrew:
    • ( אָדָם Adam ) – man
    • ( יָשָׁן Yashan ) – old

New Man

  • Aramaic: Enasha Chadtha
  • Greek: Kainos Anthrōpos
  • Hebrew:( ָח ָדשׁ Chadash) – new

Revelation:

This is not becoming someone new— It is awakening to who you truly are.

Renewed In The Spirit Of Your Mind

  • Aramaic: Hadatha b’Rukha d’Mad’a
  • Greek: Ananeousthai tō pneumati tou noos
  • Hebrew: Qara (קָרָא)
    • ( רוַּח Ruach ) – spirit
    • ( מַחֲשָׁבָה Machshavah ) – thought

Revelation:

Transformation happens through renewed perception, not external effort.

Part VII – Verses 25–32: The Transformed Life

Truth

  • Aramaic: Shrara
  • Greek: Alētheia
  • Hebrew: ( ֱא ֶמת Emet)

Truth, firmness, reality.

Forgiveness

  • Aramaic: Shbaq
  • Greek: Charizomai
  • Hebrew: ( ָס ַלח Salach)

In Aramaic it is to release and untangle oneself and another from the bondage created by the offence in one’s heart. let go/ pardon.

Love / Kindness

  • Aramaic: Hubba / Taybutha
  • Greek: Alētheia
  • Hebrew: ( ַא ֲה ָבה Ahavah) / ( ֶח ֶסד Chesed)

Revelation:

These are not moral commands— They are natural expressions of divine life within.

Part VIII – The Full Revelation (Chapter 4)

The Greek Emphasis

  • Unity of the Church
  • Spiritual gifts
  • Moral transformation
  • Order and structure

The Hebrew Foundation

  • Walking in covenant
  • Oneness (Echad)
  • Living truth (Emet)
  • Love (Chesed)

The Aramaic Revelation

  • Living divine identity
  • Inner transformation
  • Unity in Spirit
  • Expression of God through life

The Mystery Revealed

Ephesians Chapter 4 is not about:

  • Religion
  • Rules
  • External conformity

It is about:

  • Living from your true identity
  • Growing into divine fullness
  • Expressing God through your life

Final Declaration

You are not becoming— You are revealing.

According to the deeper revelation:

  • ( ָהַלְ Halakh) — You walk in divine life
  • ( ֶאָחָד Echad) — You are one
  • ( ָתִּמִים Tamim) — You are complete
  • ( ָחָדָשׁ Chadash) — You are new

Conclusion

The Apostle Paul was not teaching religion.

He was revealing the pathway of manifestation:

Become outwardly what you already are inwardly in God.
